A message from the MWSRP team:

In 2023, MWSRP embarked on numerous new endeavours and joint projects, and we want to express our gratitude to everyone who was engaged. The support we receive from our many communities and colleagues in the Maldives and throughout the world fuels our commitment and desire to continue our objective of researching and conserving this enigmatic endangered species.

The year saw several landmark initiatives and events, including a notable expedition with Bachelor of Marine Science students from Maldives National University. MWSRP is proud to have hosted these students, providing a hands-on teaching experience that included various in-field research skills.

Many thanks to those who support us in our research and conservation work. Here‘s hoping for another great research year ahead.
